Dissociation Chemistry ExamplesDissociation is a reaction of the body's systems, which may be interpreted as a sort of disengagement or disconnection from the 'body' itself. In terms of its implications in life, dissociation refers to that state where one feels their individuality disappearing, with them no longer feeling that they are part of the physical world.Dissociation in life can have various meanings and implications. For example, one may have dissociation when they feel emotionally detached, while another person may have dissociation when they feel detached from reality.Dissociation can also refer to how someone may react to an emotional trigger. Dissociation in this sense is also possible if a person withdraws from the social interaction.Dissociation in terms of life may have more serious implications, for example when a person has dissociatio n due to some form of trauma. Trauma is defined as a period in a person's life when he or she experiences distress or brokenness. So if the environment or the self is perceived to be distorted, then the person can become disconnected. As an example, when a person suffers a stroke, he or she may experience a lack of consciousness, for example.Dissociation in health and medicine has had profound ramifications on how physicians deal with patients and how patients view treatment. In most cases, doctors tend to diagnose people as suffering from dissociation based on the belief that it is related to their neurological condition.Dissociation in life has also had consequences for the law, with the law dealing with different issues relating to this sense. For example, when a person who has suffered from dissociation in childhood is arrested for the first time, they are often charged with crimes such as assault, which may be a result of their youth.Dissociation in medical terms is also very important for doctors and other health care providers to understand. In fact, they must learn how to deal with dissociation in the medical profession, since dissociation can have serious implications for someone who may be at risk for suicide.
